Early in the concert there will be a perfomance of the band’s National Finals test piece which they have been preparing for the prestigious contest later in the year.
The first half concludes with a selection of music from ‘The Sound of Music’.
The second half will have a very British, Last Night of the Proms, feel with items such as Dambusters, Rule Britannia, Highland Cathedral and Jerusalem. There’s also a fabulous trio arrangement, featuring the trombone section, of ‘I Will Follow Him’ from Sister Act.
Tea and cake will be served during the interval.
