Colour’s Of Banbury Origami Crane Arts Project
|Start:||Thursday 11/11/2021 at 9:00 am|
|End:||Monday 15/08/2022 at 12:00 pm|
|Location:||St Mary's Church|
We are looking to fold 3000+ paper origami cranes to create a suspended installation in St Mary’s Church Banbury to celebrate the town. The project coincides with the St Mary’s Festival 200 and the Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham between July and August 2022. St Mary’s Church will be host venue for origami crane folding sessions from March 2022 as part of their Arts@BSM initiative.
Banbury businesses, local organisations and individuals are invited to participate in the Origami Crane Arts Project between March and May 2022.
Local schools are also invited to create their own suspended installation as part of the wider project from November 2021 to coincide with World Origami Day on 11 November and Remembrance Day.
Information on craft materials together with a short tutorial video is available on the ‘Colour’s of Banbury’ page at www.banburybusinessandarts.co.uk, for any individual, group or organisation wishing to practice before workshop sessions begin in 2022. Origami paper for these sessions will be provided for the purpose of the main installation. We look forward to welcoming you.
