The event will commence in the Market Place at the flagpole at 10.00am when the Union Flag will be hoisted while the National Anthem is being played by members of Deddington Brass, with the singing led by the Deddington Primary School Year 6.

Canon Christopher Hall will lead prayers of thanksgiving and for peace.

A Piper will then lead those assembled, via the churchyard footpath, to the War Memorial where, following the Last Post, a 2-minute silence will be observed with prayers of remembrance for those who died in WWII and the laying of a VE Day wreath and one for each of the three armed forces.

On conclusion, Canon Hall will re-dedicate the Branch Standard in this the Centenary year of its founding.

A Bonfire & Beacon will be lit at Tomwell Farm on the Hempton Road at 9.30pm.
