Broughton Castle Sportive 2023

The Broughton Castle Sportive is back for 2023

Now in its 12th year, this annual cycling event is back on Sunday July 9. Offering a choice of 5 different routes it has something for everyone, from the seasoned cyclist to those who simply want a family ride.

The Broughton Castle Sportive starts and finishes in the picturesque grounds of Broughton Castle.   All the routes take riders through the stunning Cotswolds – one of Britain’s largest areas of outstanding natural beauty.

The toughest of challenges comes in the form of Kenco 100 – a 100 mile course which takes in several classic climbs in the area, including the Kenco Centenary Climb. This 1.69km section rises 102 metres from start to end – a 6% gradient – and a special prize of champagne and a supply of Kenco coffee will be won by the cyclist who completes this measured section in the fastest time.

Other routes include the 75 mile Windrush Endurance, the 50 mile Cotswold Classic or the 20 mile Wild Properties Cotswold Tour.

For families the 5.5 mile Family Fun Ride follows a fairly flat family friendly route around the quiet roads and tracks immediately surrounding the Castle.

The event is expertly organised by the Rotary Club of Banbury Cherwell.   All money raised goes to local charities.

You can enter on the day, or secure your place now by registering online at the Broughton Castle Sportive website, where you’ll find full details of all the routes.
