John Mann shows
John has lived and worked in and around North Oxfordshire all his life and as a youngster was a big fan of Radio Caroline (ding ding).
By trade John is an electronics engineer and spent many years working at the former Menvier factory in Banbury, where he met the boss – his good lady wife.
John has always had an interest in radio since his early days listening to pirate radio stations like Radio Caroline. John joined the Banbury FM team for the second trial broadcast in 2002 when his electronic skills saw him providing engineering support for the station.
In 2019 he was persuaded to take a seat behind of the microphone and now presides over lunchtimes in North Oxfordshire.
You can also find John supporting the young people of the area in the Scout Association and at weekends fulfilling another of his pleasures – driving steam trains!
