Crews from Banbury and Deddington called to fight fire from two different roads

Fire crews from Banbury last night dealt a blaze in Station Approach that destroyed two disused caravans.   An additional crew from Deddington also attended to prevent the fire spreading into neighbouring Haslemere Way, part of the Tramway estate.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 5.15pm on Thursday evening to the caravan park on Station Approach.   Two appliances from Banbury attended and found two disused caravans on fire.

The fire had started to spread through shrubbery and fencing to Haslemere Way, behind the fire scene.   A crew from Deddington Fire Station worked using jets, hose reels and ladders to prevent the fire spreading further.

Fire crews left the scene at 8.19pm.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
