Deadline for primary and infant school applications is Friday
14/01/2021
Parents of children born between September 2016 and August 2017 need to choose where their child will be educated
Parents are being reminded that the deadline for applications for new primary and infant school places is just a day away. Mums, dads and carers for youngsters starting education in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire County Council Schools this September need to have applied for their choice of schooling by 5pm tomorrow (Friday 15th).
Places need to be secured for any child who was born between 1 Sept 2016 and 31 Aug 2017. Parents are reminded this still applies even if they already attend a nursery attached to the school.
The window for applications opened last year. Normally parents are encouraged to visit and tour prospective primary and infant schools, but the pandemic has made that difficult this year.
Responses to applications will be sent to parents on April 16th – known as National Offer Day. Parents will then have until May 4th to respond to their offer.
