Woman cut free from car following serious accident

Air ambulance and three fire crews amongst emergency services attending serious collision near Middle Barton on Saturday morning
A woman had to be cut free from her car after colliding with another vehicle just outside Middle Barton on Saturday morning. Thames Valley Air Ambulance was called to the serious accident, alongside members of the other emergency services.
The crash followed what has been described as a “high speed collision” between two cars. Emergency services were initially called shortly after 11am.
A woman in one of the vehicles had been seriously injured and trapped in her vehicle. Fire crews worked with hydraulic tools to remove the roof from the car and extricate the casualty.
Care was administered at the scene by Thames Valley Air Ambulance and South Central Ambulance before the woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The accident was attended by crews from Chipping Norton, Hook Norton and Kidlington fire stations, Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
