Police arrest and bail a 16-year-old boy following the assault
A 15-year-old girl has been hit in the face, pushed over and had a can of Coke poured over her. The assault took place in the entrance to Princess Diana Park on Bretch Hill.
Thames Valley Police say that a 16-year-old boy from Banbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has subsequently been released on police bail.
The attack took place around midday on Friday 29 January at the entrance to Princess Diana Park near to Bradley Arcade.
The offender hit the girl in the face and pushed her over. The offender then opened a can of Coke and poured it over her.
The girl sustained cuts to her hands and knees from the fall, but did not require hospital treatment.
Investigating officer PC James Peachey, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was near the entrance to the park at the time of the incident and may have seen something that will help the investigation.”
