Attacker and dog run off after assault leaving victim needing hospital treatment

A man was attacked by another man and his dog in Easington last week.   The 24-year-old victim was walking from Easington Road onto St Georges Crescent at around 6.20pm last Thursday (February 4) when the attack happened.

The attacker and his dog both ran off immediately after the assault.   The victim sustained injuries from the attack and required hospital treatment.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.

The offender is described as a white man, in his late twenties, around 5ft 11ins tall with medium length brown hair, short brown stubble and of regular build. He was wearing a black coat which came down to his thighs and grey jogging bottoms.

The dog is described as a large white, shorthaired dog and was wearing a harness.

Investigating officer PC Alexander Gibb, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or recognises the descriptions above.”
