Parents of group of 8 youngsters will receive warning letters

A group of teenage boys from Banbury were caught by Police Officers in Middleton Cheney last night.   The group of 8 youngsters who were “visiting” the village were sent home.

The parents of each youngster will now receive COVID warning letters.

Under the current lockdown rules people are required to stay at home.   You are not allowed to leave or be outside of your home except for things such as shopping for basic necessities, going to work, exercising in your local area, meeting your support bubble, seeking medical assistance or attending education.

People aged 18 or over can be fined £200 for the first offence, with subsequent fines doubling up to a maximum of £6,400.   There is no provision for fining the parents of those under the age of 18.
