Sports Centre staff step up to the challenge of helping deliver COVID testing for the town

Spiceball Leisure Centre has had a successful first week operating as a COVID-19 Testing Centre.   The operation, which is running in the main sports hall, is taking place in conjunction with Oxfordshire County Council.

Whilst the centre remains closed for sports users due to lockdown rules, Spiceball’s staff have risen to the challenge of helping provide the new COVID testing service for those who’s work requires regular testing.

During the first week blue light services, care workers and early years providers were able to take advantage of the service.   Now the number of people to whom the tests are available has been extended.   The advice is to check with your employer to see if you are eligible to be tested regularly.

In addition, tests for non-symptomatic customers are now available during extended opening times between 7.00am and 6.50pm each week day.
