Residents loose their supplies for the second morning this week, but steps are taken to resolve the problem

A number of properties on Cherwell Heights were without power this morning, for the second time this week.   64 properties in the High Acres and Coppice Close area lost their supplies just after 9.30am today.

Supplies were disrupted at a similar time on Tuesday morning.

Engineers were seen working in the area ahead of power being restored just before 11am.

Western Power Distribution told Banbury FM: “We can confirm there was a fault on the low voltage network at 9.37am this morning. This affected 64 properties. All had their power restored by 11am.

“We have replaced the two fuses involved and have installed a device on the network which will restore power automatically if the fault recurs. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Local resident Deborah Simmons praised Western Power Distribution responsiveness in dealing with the situation.   She said: “Western Power has been super responsive on social media and their online reporting mechanism was very good to. So while the power outages were and are annoying – at least they are responding.”
