10/06/2021
Money will be used to help club to adhere with COVID regulations and to create a new bar and scorer’s area
Banbury Cricket Club has been awarded £2,350 of National Lottery funding as part of a scheme to help groups, clubs and organisations respond to the immediate challenges of resuming activities in a coronavirus-safe way.
The Return to Play Grant scheme was designed to help adapt and open important places and spaces so people within their community can return to play and physical activity, safely. The focus was on responding to the immediate challenges of sports and physical activity returning to play.
The scheme makes awards of between £300 and £10,000 from a total pot of £15 million.
Banbury Cricket Club plan to utilise their grant on adapting the ground to adhere with COVID regulations, including deep cleaning of the playing toilets and showers. They will also create a new bar and scorer’s area.
