The public toilets at the top of Brackley Market Place have been targeted by vandals again – twice in a week.

This is the latest incident at the facility.   The male toilets had to be closed for a period in November after a urinal was kicked off the wall.

On Monday morning Council staff discovered that the toilet door had been kicked in, damaging the lock mechanism.   The problem was fixed that afternoon, but the door was then kicked in again on Tuesday evening.

The vandalism has all occurred during the last four months.

A spokesperson for Brackley Town Council said: “The crime number for the latest vandalism is 22000701170 and we are asking residents to get in touch with us if they hear or see anything suspicious please.

“These toilets were refurbished at the start of the year and we would like to put a stop to the continuous cost and time spent repairing these damages.”

The toilet block was completely refurbished in February this year as part of a project that cost West Northamptonshire Council £73,924.
