Electric bike and car collide on Warwick Road

The rider of the bike left the scene after the incident

A car and an electric bike were involved in a collision in Banbury on Friday evening.   It happened at around 10pm on the Warwick Road.

The rider of the bike is believed to have sustained minor injuries, but left the scene.

Thames Valley Police would like to make contact with this person and is appealing for anyone else who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage, to come forward.

The car which collided with the electric bike was a Ford Fiesta.

Investigating officer PC Neil Bowker, of the Roads Policing department, said: “We are continuing to investigate this report of a minor injury road traffic collision, but as yet, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to locate the victim.

“I am appealing for this person to please make contact with us as soon as possible.

“I’d also ask any motorists who were in the local area around the time of the collision to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist the investigation.
