A major renovation project has been completed thanks to a £75,000 grant from the HS2 Community Fund

Villagers in Sulgrave can now enjoy a brighter more modern community building following the completion of a major renovation project.   Following the work the hall for the village church, St James the Less, will be shown off at two open day events this weekend.

The project was funded by a grant of £75,000 from the HS2 Community Fund.

Existing facilities at the 100 year old hall have been enhanced, disabled toilets have been installed and accessibility has been improved.  It is now a warm and bright modern hall available for use by the whole community.

Ingram Lloyd, joint project manager said, “The Sulgrave village community has lots of plans and ideas for new and exciting uses of the renovated hall and we can’t wait to start. A big ‘thank you’ has to go to the HS2 Community Fund.  Without their generous grant the renovation would never have been possible.”

The successful project was co-ordinated by Ingram Lloyd on behalf of the Parochial Church Council supported by Councillor Anna Faure on behalf of the Parish Council.

The Hall will be open for visitors on Saturday, 9th October between 10 am and 12 noon and Sunday, 10th October between 2 pm and 4 pm.
