Waste recycling centres closed for two days from Tuesday

Deep cleaning and essential maintenance is due to take place
If you have items you were planning to take to the household waste recycling centre at Alkerton then avoid heading over there on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
The site is set to be closed for two days to allow for deep cleaning and essential maintenance to take place. The centre has to be closed for safety reasons whilst this is happening.
Work scheduled to take place includes jet washing the site and structures, repainting lines and safety areas, as well as other general work aimed at improving the customer experience.
The Alkerton centre will reopen at 8am on Thursday morning. Other Oxfordshire County Council sites will be open whilst Alkerton is closed, although nearby Ardley is due to have similar work completed and will therefore be closed on Thursday and Friday this week.
