Views sought on skatepark design
21/07/2022
Users are invited to a meeting to have their say on the design of Brackley’s new skatepark
Skateboarders who will use Brackley’s new Skatepark have an opportunity to shape the look and feel of the facility at a public meeting this evening. The contractor selected to oversee the project will be on hand to hear users’ views on its design.
The Skatepark will be constructed near Brackley Leisure Centre. Brackley Town Council has awarded the design and build contract to Maverick Skateparks, who have already completed nearby projects in Steeple Claydon, Moreton in Marsh and Braunston.
An online survey seeking local people’s views has already taken place.
Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6pm in Egerton Hall on Juno Crescent.
A spokesperson for Brackley Town Council said: “Brackley Town Council welcome your views and input so we can develop a skatepark that is truly designed for the community of Brackley.”
The project to give Brackley a Skatepark had suffered delays after funding from housing developers did not become available when anticipated. To keep the project moving the Town Council secured alternative funding, which enabled them to appoint a contractor to build the facility.
