Voters cast their votes in the 2025 Local Elections
Across our area voters visited Polling Stations on Thursday May 1 to decide who will represent them at Oxfordshire County and West Northamptonshire councils.
Oxfordshire County Council
The battle for control
Following an electoral review some of the ward boundaries changed for the 2025 Local Elections. This time 69 councillors will be elected. This is what the council looks like with all votes now in:
How things have changed: Ahead of the election the Liberal Demorcats in alliance with the Greens controlled Oxfordshire County Council. In 2021 there were 61 councillors elected:

West Northamptonshire Council
The battle for control
The turnout across West Northanptonshire was contirmed as 32.16 percent. This is what the council now looks now. The Electoral Commission reduced the number of councillors to 76.
Ahead of the election the Conservatives controlled West Northamptonshire Council. The authority had 93 councillors.
