Puritans progress to FA Cup second round qualifying

Banbury United win 1-0 against Carlton Town
Banbury United are through to the second round qualifying stage of this year’s Emirates FA Cup after beating Carlton Town 1-0 last night.
It was a 77th minute goal from Giorgio Rasulo that saw the Puritans through to the next round at the Banbury Plant Hire Stadium.
369 people watched the game and saw Banbury United achieve a hard fought victory.
Speaking after the game Andy Whing, Banbury United’s Manager, complimented Giorgio Rasulo’s goal. He said, “It was a tough night but probably the one bit of quality in the game has got us a winner”.
The Puritans now await the draw for the second round qualifying stage with that match scheduled for Saturday 3 October 2020.
