Banbury Sewing Centre giving free demonstrations for Saturday shoppers

Established Parson’s Street brand joins the fun of National Sewing Week
Aspirational seamstresses can join keen quilters, savvy stitchers and avid dressmakers in Parson’s Street this Saturday as the Banbury Sewing Centre marks the end of National Sewing Week. The popular shop will be running sewing demonstrations hoping to impart some skills to anyone who could benefit from the ability to get creative with fabrics.
The Sewing Centre has been an established brand on Parson’s Street for over 40 years. Amy-Leigh Brennan-Rogers took over running the shop earlier this year and has just overseen giving the shop frontage a makeover. The new logo and signage now will be on show on Saturday.
Sewing Week was launched in 2015 by Sew magazine as an annual event encouraging the stitching community to visit their local stores and discover the brilliant things they can offer. It was hoped to allow socialising amongst like-minded crafters.
On Saturday one of the sewing centre experts will be demonstrating from the shop window to make a hand sanitiser case and a tote bag – perfect gifts for Christmas. Shoppers in Parson’s Street will be able to watch safely and learn some of the skills.
During the day the Banbury Sewing Centre will also be running deals on various sewing and crafting items with offers available.
