Off-roaders killing and injuring sheep at country park

Sheep at the Burton Dassett Country Park are being hit and killed by people illegally off-roading – driving their vehicles off the roads.
The farmer nursed one lamb back to full health after it was struck by a vehicle a few weeks ago. Now it has been hit again and this time it is unlikely to survive.
A picture of the injured animal has been released with a plea to people to stick to the roadways and car parks when on site.
Sheep roam the hills all of the time and those taking their cars off the roads have killed and injured a number of animals, as well as damaging the grass and landscape.
Wardens at the country park say that they are trying to address the issue, but many people continue to undertake the illegal activity during the evenings and nights.
They said: “We’re sorry to have to post this photograph – sadly it’s the least graphic – but hopefully it will help dissuade people from driving at the park.”
Motorists seen off-roading by the police could receive a section-59 order. If they are then caught again their vehicle might be seized and crushed.
Anyone witnessing people off-roading is asked to report it to the site rangers or the police by calling 101.

Why do they need to off road on the grass. It’s beautiful to see the sheep just roaming on the hills doing people no harm. So what gives people to harm them
