Details
Odyssey Youth returns to Wykham Theatre on 29 and 30 July for their annual Summer School Show. This year they will be performing the classic 60s musical: Sweet Charity. The show tells the story of Charity Hope Valentine, a well meaning but unlucky young lady traversing her life in New York City, and looking for love and happiness. The score, written by Cy Coleman with lyrics by Dorothy Fields and originally, features a whole range of well known classic songs, including Big Spend, Rhythm of Life and There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This.
Odyssey has been running since 2010 and has a reputation for really high quality musical theatre. Director Andy Aldcroft said: “We are thrilled to be back in the theatre again and working with such a talented group of Young People. The show is so funny, and the music is fabulous. The original production was conceived, staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse, and the cast are really connecting with the style of the show.”
Performances are at 7.30pm on Friday 29th July and 2.30pm and 7.30 pm Saturday 30th July. Tickets cost £14 (£11 for concessions) and are available from Odyssey’s Website.
