Colourful origami project on display in St Mary’s

An artwork project containing 3000 coloured and white origami cranes is on display in St Mary’s Church in Banbury. The Banbury Business and Arts inspired “Colours of Banbury” creation is suspended above the church’s central nave.

The project has brought together local businesses, organisations and individuals as part of St Mary’s bicentennial celebrations and to coincide with the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The origami cranes are international symbols of peace, flourishing and reconciliation.

The installation can be viewed in the church until August 15th.   Its free to get in.
