Jenna Honeo is one step away from performing infront of thousands of people on the main stage at Pride in Maspalomas

A local singer from Brackley has got through to the final of a worldwide competition. Jenna Honeo has beaten thousands of hopeful artists from across the globe to make it to the final eight in “Pride Stars”.

The competition’s overall winner will get the opportunity to sing on the main stage at Pride in Maspalomas in front of thousands of people, an all expenses paid trip to Pride Amsterdam with VIP passes and one thousand Euros to invest in their entertainment career.

Now, 33 year old Jenna is asking for support from our local community to vote for her.

Jenna had been scheduled to play at the Shutford Music Festival this year before it was cancelled due to Coronavirus. She has previously made it through to the blind auditions of The Voice. Since the first lockdown Jenna has streamed many performances from her lounge in Brackley.  You can watch one on Facebook here.

Anyone wanting to show support for Jenna needs to download the ‘Pride Stars’ app free from the App or Android Store. Click on Jenna’s photo to cast your vote.

Jenna told Banbury FM “To win Pride Stars would be a dream come true and a great boost to a very strange year. What with so many gigs cancelled in Northamptonshire and North Oxfordshire, I’m getting used to my own company performing in front of a webcam! To perform in the Canary Islands would be absolutely amazing. And if Brackley Town win their first round match of the FA cup, it will be double celebrations in our house on Saturday. ”

Votes are only open until 5pm on Saturday.
