Trees vandalised in Brackley
09/08/2022
“Vandalism like this is always disappointing for our town and community”
A number of trees have been damaged in Brackley’s parks and open spaces over the last few weeks. The town council has expressed its disappointment at the acts of vandalism.
A new willow tree was snapped in half on Saturday night at Zipwire Park. Two other trees were also damaged at Egerton fields and Swift Way.
The damage has been reported to Northamptonshire Police and anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to contact them on 101.
A spokesperson for Brackley Town Council said: “We are not sure why an individual or a group of people would want to harm our open spaces, but we would like to put a message out today to please ask them to stop. The Brackley Town Council grounds team work incredibly hard to plant these trees and maintain them throughout the year.
