Homophobic attack in Cropredy

Two men are being sought after a man was punched outside The Brasenose Arms
A man was punched during a homophobic attack in Cropredy village during festival weekend. The attack took place outside The Brasenose Arms on Station Road at around 2am on Sunday August 14.
The man, who’s in his thirties, was stood with friends when a group of men left the pub and approached him. They made homophobic comments towards him and then two of the men in the group punched the victim in the face.
They then left in a taxi.
The victim sustained a black eye, cuts to his face and a nosebleed.
The offenders are described as two men aged between 20 and 25-years-old. One of them was wearing a black t-shirt, a black baseball cap and had a black bag.
The second man is described as having short black hair with a beard and was wearing a white t-shirt.
Investigating officer, PC Darius Horton, based at Banbury police station, said: “We are appealing to witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
“If anyone has information, please contact police by calling 101 or by making a report online, quoting reference 43220362458.
“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online.”
