Jeremy Gladwin elected to Brackley Town Council

The Liberal Democrat received 67% of the vote

A Liberal Democrat candidate has been elected to serve on Brackley Town Council.

Jeremy Gladwin received 67% (357) of the 532 votes cast during polling on Thursday.

Also standing was Andrew Lawrie who received 49 votes and Arthur Rawlinson who received 126 votes.   Neither of Mr Gladwin’s opponents claimed any political affiliation.

Turnout was low, with just 16.97% of the electorate of 3140 taking the opportunity to vote.

The election was called following the resignation of Richard Butler.
