Networking event follows successful business exhibition

Two local business owners have come together to offer businesses the chance to meet

The success of a one-off business exhibition in May was the catalyst for a new networking event which is being held at the Whately Hall Hotel this afternoon.

Local business owners Kelly Frith and Katy Osborne came together as K&K Uniting Connections for the exhibition earlier this year, offering companies the opportunity to showcase what they did.

Today’s follow-on event is set to build on the connections made at May’s exhibition and extend a welcome to those that couldn’t make the last event.   The late afternoon gathering for informal networking will include drinks and canapés and is designed to help local businesses connect and build new collaborative relationships.

Kelly and Katy said: “The business exhibition we held in May was expected to be a one-off event, however, after what was a successful exhibition, we were asked by many exhibitors and attendees when the next event would be taking place.

“We saw the opportunity for a follow-up event from the exhibition to allow those who were unable to attend to come and meet with some of our exhibitors that participated in May”

At May’s exhibition support was given to the local children’s charity, Helen and Douglas House Hospice.   At today’s event the charity will provide an update on what is happening at the hospice and their forthcoming events.

Today’s event runs between 4.30pm and 7pm with tickets available here.
