Rugby Club names Frank Wise School as charity of the year
13/10/2022
Fundraising events will run through the season
Banbury Rugby Club has announced that the Frank Wise School has been selected as their charity of the year this season.
The club will be hosting a number of fundraising events through the season to help support the school. Staff and pupils from the school will be guests of honour at the Bulls’ game against Brighton on Saturday.
Matt Goode, Director of Rugby at the club, said: “After working with the school closely in recent months as part of our community programme I saw first-hand the amazing work that goes on at the school and wanted to make sure we as a club could help support the school.
“This Saturday is going to be a fantastic day for the club and I hope that by supporting Frank Wise this season we will be able to help raise valuable funds for the school, as well as being able to highlight the amazing work that goes on there.”
Simon Knight, Joint Headteacher at Frank Wise, added: ”As a school that works hard to ensure it is both visible to and valued by its community, we are proud to be working in partnership with Banbury Rugby Club. The commitment that the club has made to supporting us as an organisation and assisting our pupils to maximise their capability is a clear statement of intent, and one for which we are extremely grateful.”
