Firearms officers deployed to Spiceball Park

No offence had actually occurred
Visitors to Spiceball Park were shocked to see firearms officers in the park on Saturday afternoon. The officers were deployed after a member of the public reported believing they had seen somebody with a gun.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that they responded to the call, but were pleased to report that no offences had actually taken place.
A spokesperson for the force sought to reassure local people about the situation after social media was used to spread rumours speculating as to what had actually happened.
