Ticket details for festive local football derby
30/11/2022
Both clubs have been working with the police with the aim of ensuring that supporters can attend in a safe environment
Ticket details have been released for the first of two local derby games between Banbury United and Brackley Town, which will take place over the Christmas and New Year period.
The Puritans will face the Saints at St James Park on Boxing Day.
The two clubs have been working with both Northamptonshire and Thames Valley police with the aim of ensuring that supporters of all ages can attend the games in a safe environment and enjoy the occasion. Both clubs are working together to promote public safety and so spectators can expect to see more stewards and police officers at the game than normal.
The fixture will have a midday kick-off and fans are warned they might face a short delay exiting at the end of the game.
The match will be segregated and is all ticket, with no tickets on sale on the day.
Brackley supporters will be able to buy their tickets from 11.30am this Saturday (December 3). These must be purchased in person at the ticket office with proof of ID and home address required. Sales will be limited to one only per person and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will only be available to anyone who has attended at least two home games at St James Park this season.
Banbury United has been allocated 500 tickets for supporters which the club will sell themselves. These tickets will be available to club members only, with each member able to purchase one ticket for their use only. The club says it has temporarily suspended applications for membership to help with the sales process. Any tickets left will be made available to new members and the club has made available the ability to register for a membership application on its website.
Details of the arrangements for the second game at Station Approach on January 1 will be announced soon.
