The vehicle – which wasn’t insured – was seized

A driver was caught filming using his mobile phone as he drove past police officers.   Now he faces a driving disqualification, a fine and up to 20 points on his licence – which is currently only a provisional licence.

Police also discovered the vehicle wasn’t insured.

The offence was spotted on Station Road in Lower Heyford on Wednesday evening, when officers were dealing with a drink driver.   As a yellow Seat drove past they noticed the driver was filming on his mobile phone.

The car was seized and the driver reported for a number of offences, including driving whilst using a mobile phone, driving without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a License.
