Brackley’s second tractor run delights hundreds packing the route

The Tractor Run raised money for Yellow Wellies – the farm safety foundation
Hundreds of people packed the streets around Brackley on a chilly Sunday evening to watch the town’s second Tractor Run last night. 64 decorated vehicles drove in convoy on a circular route, which set off from the Brackley Sainsbury’s car park, to the delight of a large crowd that were filling the island outside.
Members of the farming community took the spectacle to those waiting along Poppyfields Way, with the route then visiting Humphries Drive, the Banbury Road and Brackley High Street, where the spectacle of the decorated tractors, together with the town’s Christmas lights and trees outside the Town Hall, brought a magical festive feel to the evening.
The Tractor Run was raising money for Yellow Wellies – the farm safety foundation. They work to look after the physical and mental wellbeing in the farming community. Town Councillors were out collecting cash and members of the public were also able to donate online. By Monday morning around £1,700 had been raised, with donations still arriving.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution can do so here.
A spokesperson for the Council told Banbury FM: “Brackley Town Council are delighted with the turnout for our second Tractor Run. We would like to thank everyone who was involved and who came out to watch. We hope you will join us again next year.”
