Body Coach takes first jog of 2023 in Spiceball Park
08/01/2023
A good number of people joined Joe Wicks for a fun, but muddy, run
Those looking for a helping hand in keeping fit after the excesses of Christmas and the New Year found a bit of motivation in Spiceball Park this morning. The Body Coach, Joe Wicks, chose Banbury as the place for his first 5km jog of 2023.
Joe promoted the event to his followers on social media. A good number of people joined him in the park for a fun, but muddy, run.
Officers from Thames Valley Police said there had been a fantastic turnout with lots of smiling faces.
Four members of the charity team at Katharine House Hospice joined Joe on his run. Karen, Carley, Hannah and Sue took the opportunity to get in some training for the fund-raising challenge events the Hospice are running this year.
They said: “Joe’s mission is to get the world fitter, stronger, healthier and happier. If you’re looking for a goal to work towards we’ve got loads of fantastic events lined up, including walking, running, riding, abseiling and even skydiving. Why not take on a challenge this year and help us raise money for our hospice? It’s a win-win!”
