Appeal to identify man who lost his life on train line

The incident isn’t being treated as suspicious, but officers have been unable to identify the victim
Detectives are urgently appealing for information as they try to identify a man who lost his life following an incident on the train line near Banbury.
As Banbury FM reported on Wednesday, officers were called to the line near Banbury railway station after 6am following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Following a trackside search a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious, but despite extensive enquiries officers have not been able to identify the man and trace his family to inform them of the news.
The man is described as white with short brown hair. He’s believed to be in his late 30’s and was found wearing blue jeans with a blue belt and blue hooded top, with a navy and light brown jacket, with ‘Free Onboard’ motif printed on it.
