Nile Rodgers and CHIC confirmed for Cropredy Festival

Organisers say: “This is going to be one MASSIVE party!”

Nile Rodgers and Chic are heading to this year’s Cropredy Festival as the Thursday headliner.    The multi-Grammy award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist was confirmed this lunchtime.

Nile’s back catalogue includes timeless classics like ‘Le Freak’, ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘Good Times’.   He’s been one of the industry’s most influential musicians since the 1970’s.   In recent years he has worked with a number of artists including Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Sigala and John Newman.

Other’s already confirmed for this year include Friday night headliners 10cc, who last graced the stage at Cropredy some ten years ago. 

The line-up also includes The Strawbs, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Toyah Wilcox and Robert Fripp and Richard Digance.  Fairport Convention and their guests will once again bring the festival’s Saturday evening to a close.

The Cropredy Festival runs from August 10 to 12.
