Strummer Room Records, North Oxfordshire’s only independent record shop, presents “The Vinyl Revival and the Shops That Made It Happen”.
Taking place at The Apothecary Tap in Butchers Row, Banbury, the evening with author Graham Jones will showcase a documentary, based on his book “The Vinyl Revival and the Shops That Made it Happen” – a guide to independent record shops in the UK that sell new vinyl.
The evening will include a fun quiz with great prizes, Vinyl & CD giveaway and book signing, comic tales from the crazy world of record retailing and much more.
Graham is one of the founders of Proper Music Distribution and professes to have visited more record shops than any other person!
The Vinyl Revival is a fascinating documentary exploring the renaissance in all thing’s vinyl and includes interviews from Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Philip Selway (Radiohead), Ade Utley (Portishead), Joel Gion (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), The Orielles, CASSIA and others. It charts the amazing revival of vinyl over the past several years.
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity.
Tickets are limited and are available in store at Strummer Room Records and are available online at just £10 per person:
