Weather warning issued with a chance of snow overnight
06/03/2023
The cold snap is set to be with us until Friday
Snow and ice could affect the Banbury FM area as we head into Tuesday. The Met office has issued a yellow weather warning covering the period from 9pm tonight (Monday) through to 10am on Tuesday morning.
Temperatures are predicted to fall below freezing after midnight with a 50% chance that light snow may fall through until Tuesday breakfast.
The yellow weather warning advises people to prepare for some roads and railways being affected with longer journey times by car, bus and train services. Injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are also a possibility with icy patches likely on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Temperatures are set to remain cold until Friday.
Banbury FM will have full details of any problems caused by bad weather during Banbury FM breakfast on Tuesday morning.
