Volunteer drivers sought to help hospice patients

13/03/2023

Transport is needed for patients to get to their wellbeing services

A number of Katharine House Hospice’s patients currently aren’t able to attend the wellbeing services that have been tailored for them, because they can’t get to the Hospice.

An appeal has been launched to recruit volunteer drivers who would be willing to transport patients to and from Katharine House’s Adderbury site.

Those coming forward would use their own vehicles and do need to have a full and clean driving licence.   They will also need to be able to help someone in and out of the car if needed and mobility and wheelchair training will be provided.

The work is mainly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

More details are available here.
