A barn fire on the Warkworth Road in Middleton Cheney earlier this week is being treated as suspected arson. The fire caused more than £50,000 of damage

Police are investigating the blaze which caused more than £50,000 of damage.

The fire started between 8pm and 10pm on Tuesday (May 16).   It destroyed the structure and around 300 large straw bales which were stored inside it.   The incident is being treated as a deliberate act.

Anyone with information about the arson is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 23000300549.   Alternatively contact FireStoppers anonymously on 0800 169 5558 or online.
