Musica d’Outrora’s concert “Across the Alps” highlights the instrumental music composed in Italy in the 17th Century as well as 18th Century France, a time when composers experimented with musical forms, and explored the technical possibilities and sonorities of individual instruments. This programme will take listeners on an unprecedented journey exploring the crossovers between French and Italian Baroque music.
