Old Town website revamp for re-opening day
12/04/2021
Website highlights the huge number of independent traders in the Old Town
The Banbury Old Town website has been revamped in time for re-opening day today. It now contains a comprehensive directory of all the local independent businesses in the streets and lanes of Old Town.
The website clearly highlights the huge number of independent traders in Banbury, from a variety of different areas including cafes and eateries, health, hair and beauty, food outlets and a wealth of shops selling clothing, arts, crafts and artwork, designer goods, interior décor, ironmongery and more.
The website focusses on Parson’s Street and The Horsefair, Church Lane, Church Walk and White Lion Walk, and Market place, the High Street and George Street.
Barry Whitehouse, from The Artery Art Shop, is the Chair of the Old Town Association and has created the directory. Mr Whitehouse told Banbury FM: “The town centre although mainly closed to shoppers for the last few months, has still been a busy place as business owners have been getting ready to reopen their doors this week.
“It’s also wonderful to see that once again that Banbury is bucking the trends with many new businesses either already open or due to open this week. All that’s missing is the wonderful shoppers and visitors to the town!
“I know that all of our old town businesses are keen to welcome everyone back, and we look forward to seeing the streets and lanes busy (safely) with people again.”
