Broughton Grange gardens open as part of Hospice scheme
19/07/2023
The gardens are recognised as one of the most significant private contemporary gardens in Britain
The Katharine House Hospice’s Open Gardens scheme continues this evening (Wednesday) with visitors being welcomed to the gardens and arboretum at Broughton Grange, on Wykham Lane just outside Broughton village.
The property dates back to 1620 and was initially a small farm cottage associated with the Broughton Castle estate.
The present owners bought the property in 1992, with over 400 acres of parkland, farmland and open meadow.
Over the last 25 years Broughton Grange and its gardens have been substantially transformed and it is now recognised as one of the most significant private contemporary gardens in Britain.
Visitors are welcome between 6pm and 8pm. The entry fee is £10 with proceeds from the evening heading to Katharine House.
