31/08/2023
The female walker was on a footpath between Turweston and Brackley
Northamptonshire Police want to trace the owner of a dog after a woman was bitten whilst walking on a footpath between Turweston and Brackley. She had stepped aside to allow a female with a dog on a lead to get by.
As the animal passed it bit the woman on her hand, causing an injury to her fingers.
The victim – who’s a woman in her 60s – left the scene without getting the dog owner’s details.
The incident happened between 1pm and 2pm on Thursday, August 17 and the animal has been described as a grey husky-type dog.
The woman walking the dog is described as white, about 5ft 4in and of a medium build with long brown hair. She was wearing a skirt and cardigan and was with a boy.
Officers investigating the case would like to identify the dog involved as well as trace the owner, who is asked to get in touch as soon as possible.
They would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the woman or the dog. If you can help please call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident 23000513567.
