High Street incident leaves man with broken jaw

Witnesses sought after Saturday evening incident in town centre
A group of up to 5 people were involved in an altercation in Banbury High Street on Saturday evening (June 12) which resulted in one man’s jaw being broken and another person sustaining injuries to their hand.
The incident happened at 7pm outside the Greggs store and also in White Lion Walk.
The man who sustained a broken jaw required hospital treatment, where he remains at the moment. The person with hand injuries did not require hospital treatment.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
One of the offenders is described as a mixed race man, who was tall and of a skinny build. He was believed to be aged in his late teens or early twenties.
Another offender was a white man, who was tall and had fair hair and believed to be aged in his thirties.
No other descriptions are currently available.
Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Tims, of Banbury police station, said: “This was a particularly violent incident which has caused two people to sustain injuries, one of whom remains in hospital.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of where this took place to please think about whether you saw or heard anything that could relate to this incident.
“Please consider the physical descriptions of those involved. Did you see anyone matching these descriptions before or after the incident took place?”
