Pensioner dies in accident south of Evenley

A black Audi A3 left the Cottisford Road and collided with a tree

A 73-year-old man lost his life after a crash south of Evenley on Monday evening (June 28).   The pensioner died at the scene of the accident in Cottisford Road.

Police officers are appealing for any witnesses to the fatal collision to contact them.

The crash happened at about 5.50pm when a black Audi A3 driving north towards the A421 left the road and collided with a tree.   The reason why the car left the road is not known.

The driver sadly died at the scene.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.
