Police confirm two anti-social behaviour instances in Banbury on Monday
A 15-year-old boy was arrested after a large group of youths were involved in violence and anti-social behaviour, which led to the introduction of a Section 35 Dispersal Order in Banbury on Monday.
Thames Valley Police has confirmed to Banbury FM that two incidents occurred during the afternoon and evening.
The Dispersal Order was granted for 24 hours, running until 6.30pm last night (Tuesday). It covered an area including the town centre, Spiceball Park and People’s Park and gave officers the ability to remove anyone they felt was intent on disrupting other people’s enjoyment of the town.
Thames Valley Police say their investigation into both incidents is under way and they are asking people not to speculate on social media.
The arrested 15-year-old has since been released on police bail.
A police spokesperson said: “If anyone has any information into either incident please call 101 or visit our website using the reference INC-20230925-1712.”
