Boarded up site to provide artwork canvass
04/10/2023
Workshops begin this weekend for budding artists who would like their work included
A community art project is set to brighten up a former garage site in Banbury. White graffiti covered boards currently surround the land that faces Cherwell Street between the Morrison’s petrol station and Bridge Street traffic lights.
The area is seen by many commuters who utilise the inner relief road heading between the Oxford Road and Hennef Way.
Local people are being encouraged to contribute towards the artwork that will utilise the white boarding as their canvass.
Artist Elyse Blackshaw will over see the project and is running workshops this weekend to produce the pieces of art that will be used.
Those attending will get an opportunity to use a range of mixed media drawing materials.
The free workshops, which are organised by Banbury BID, are open to all ages and abilities. You can book a place here.
